Polk.he's boppin around the white houseand then he's likeyoman, those american's... we love manifest destiny!lolollet's expand expand expand!so then texas seceeds from mexicoand polk is likeohman! oppertunity!so he sends Sidell down this guyto try and buy california off of mexicoand mexico is likeno man we mexicans are the shitso polk is likewhat the hellgo to war.so he goes up to congress and he's likei wanna go to war with mexico because they're being ridiotsand congress is like, um you can't go to war for that.so Polk is like damnit.but congress allowed polk to send in some american troops to keep the peaceso mexico and texas are likesilently fightingover the land betweenthe rio grandeand the neuces riverwhich is like a no mans landso the american troops one dayget board of hanging around in texasand happen to be in this no mans landbut mexico attacks thempolk is likeAMERICAN BLOOD SHED ON AMERICAN SOILWAR WAR WAR WARand congress is like okay!!!!but some of congress is likethat's not a good reasonit wasn't really american soilso the reasoning is pretty weakokay so now we're at war with mexicoso mexicopolk is likewe'll take you down BITCHES and then american troops do all sorts of cool movementoslike triangulizing an attack on mexico citythat's some hard x core stratagyand then they attack in calibut look they come by seathey're all likewe're america and we're badass and have boatsand mexico is likeOHNO!so america wins.and polk creats polka dots.the end!that was my breif history on the mexican war.now i'm going to make some tea.goodnight!snow day tomorrow!?
